Activities in or Near Sant’Agata de’ Goti Include:

  • ~Wine tasting at the historic Mustilli Cantina (taste the Mustilli falanghina featured on Tucci in Italy)
  • ~Tour of the 50 feet deep historic Mustilli wine cellar (seen on Tucci in Italy)
  • ~History and food tour of Sant’Agata de’ Goti
  • ~Attend a mercato (outdoor market)
  • ~Tour a melaio, unique to Sant’Agata, where thousands of apples are laid out so that each is exposed to the sun and then rotated one-quarter turn each week
  • ~Your choice of cooking classes including making pizza (two-part class over two nights), making pasta, making gnocchi, and cooking seasonal vegetable dishes (let us know if you have something you’d like to learn to make)
  • ~Amazing dining options ranging small, tucked-away local eateries to an upscale restaurant, all serving fresh ingredients and seasonal cuisine

Activities Outside Sant’Agata de’ Goti Include:

  • ~Wine tastings at select wineries in the area ranging from small, family-run ones to one of the largest cooperatives in the Campania region of Italy
  • ~Tour an artisanal mozzarella laboratorio
  • ~Meet a master potter and tour a ceramic museum
  • ~Tour a proscuittificio which makes prosciutto using centuries-old methods (only a select few places have dispensation to make it this way)
  • ~Visit a local artist specializing in traditional Neopolitan symbols
  • ~Explore the town of Telese Terme with its pedestrian area of shops and cafes
  • ~Explore the town of Benevento which includes the extremely well-preserved second century Arch of Trajan (located on the Via Appia, a UNESCO World Heritage site) and the eighth century Church of Santa Sofia (a UNESCO World Heritage site)
  • ~Attend a mercato (outdoor market) in a nearby town
  • ~Truffle hunt in the town of Cusano Mutri
  • ~visit the nearby town of Monte Sarchio where you can tour the Longobard Castle, its adjacent tower, and the Sannio Caudino National Archaeological Museum
